How does your lighting enhance the dining experience?

When it comes to bar and restaurant design, lighting plays a critical role in influencing everything from operations & food preparation, through to guest satisfaction, length of stay, and overall experience. In high-end restaurants a key goal of owner-operators is to encourage their clientele to extend their stay; to order the dessert or indulge in an extra glass of wine, which ultimately increases their spend per visit. Northern Lights have been designing lighting for award-winning restaurants for more than 35 years, creating immersive lighting solutions that delight and inspire. From dreamscape clouds and five metre tiered chandeliers, through to frosted icicle wall lights and cordless restaurant lighting, we understand the demands and needs of this environment and are constantly pushing boundaries in custom restaurant lighting.

Do you design lighting for specific zones within a restaurant?

Our teams design and craft custom lighting for all areas including dining spaces, bars, and private rooms, ensuring each zone has the right blend of aesthetics, mood and functionality. We work with our clients to help them connect spaces fluidly and dynamically, through materials and finish options, for a seamless transition between spaces. From pendant lights and feature chandeliers to stunning wall lights and cordless lamps for restaurant tables, we offer both fully bespoke lighting for restaurants alongside stunning products from our lighting collections. With our in-house metalwork capabilities, we can also create bar gantries, booth partitions, signage, and decorative screens to further develop and enhance different zones within the space.

Our expertise in metalwork and different glass techniques, alongside constantly experimenting with new materials, unlocks a world of creative possibilities.
