With so much competition in the local area, this venue needed to stand out. Northern Lights were tasked in enhancing the unique atmosphere with bespoke industrial lighting made with reclaimed materials. Filament lamps were used to generate the inviting and relaxing ambience while further reinforcing the reclaimed vintage feel.

Using warm colours with layers of different textures accentuated by quirky accessories throughout the venue, brand and interior consultancy Keane Brands created a place full of character and charm with unexpected twists. Continuing our collaboration with Keane Brands, we supplied an eclectic range of bespoke Restaurant and bar lighting for the venue. As a UK lighting manufacturer, Northern Lights were tasked in enhancing the unique atmosphere with bespoke industrial lighting made with reclaimed materials. Filament lamps were used to generate the inviting and relaxing ambience while further reinforcing the reclaimed vintage feel.

A standout bespoke chandelier is a two-tier pendant composed of recycled bicycle wheels and old American car license plates. We used bike wheels as the framework and then decorated with a variety of licence plates from the various states. All of this is then hand-finished to blend in seamlessly with the rest of the reclaimed decor. The bespoke pendant is completed with antique lamp holders that house the warming filament lamps.

In the centre of a giant canopy in the dining area is a large bespoke pendant combining a custom metal frame with retro stained-glass panels and detailing made in our UK lighting factory. Stained glass is where Northern Lights began almost 30 years ago, and we love seeing this craft come through our UK lighting factory. The glass panels are illuminated from inside, casting beautiful light and patterns through the natural organic texture found in opal glass. Twelve squirrel cage filament lamps are installed around the perimeter, adding a more contemporary industrial style against a background dominated by vintage wallpaper, Chesterfield sofas, and dark wooden flooring.

The space is ample yet still feels warm thanks to the myriad of low-level lighting found throughout the restaurant and bar. One way in which we helped Keane Brands achieve this is through minimal blackened steel frames. These frames allowed the bespoke pendants to be wired and grouped together and then hung at various heights. The ribbed glass pendants that hang from one of these large frames complement the stained-glass windows beautifully. Keane Brands utilised a wide range of our bespoke finish options to the restaurant and bar lighting to enhance and manipulate the reclaimed vintage look. Outside on the terrace, the minimalist swag lights help to create a laid-back, relaxing vibe typical to those in the Southern States.

To complement the dynamic and vibrant interior, the bespoke lighting scheme also incorporates many other restaurant and bar pendants in a range of styles and an eclectic mix of custom table lamps and bespoke wall lights that help break up space.
