Having worked closely with Tibbatts Abel and Colmore Tang on a wide variety of successful bespoke hospitality lighting and bespoke residential Lighting projects, we were the natural choice of lighting manufacturer to design and develop the bespoke lighting for Colmore Tang headquarters.

All the bespoke lighting, within this glamourous office redevelopment, takes visual cues from the recently completed Park Regis Birmingham. Arguably Colmore Tangs flagship project to date. The hospitality lighting we provided there had the same core principles; massive impact and make people want to come back. Applying this logic to bespoke office lighting is rarely done, but the results are easy to see here.

Brass, stainless steel and acrylic forms are used throughout a lot of the sizeable bespoke office lighting features. Northern Lights manufactured these forms to have a mixture of brushed and polished faces, adding depth and richness to the glistening drops. Each curl is formed by hand and finished by our craftsmen, in our UK lighting manufacturing facility, to ensure a truly original result. Each light fitting complements the others while remaining unique in its own space.

Emergency lighting isn't always renowned for being beautiful, that's why Tibbatts Abel tasked us with finding solutions around this for the bespoke office lighting — applying our technical and manufacturing knowledge gained over 30 years as a UK lighting manufacturer.

Most bespoke office lighting schemes seem to neglect floor lamps, more often found in hospitality lighting for ambience purposes. However, Tibbatts used these to break up the large atrium spaces to significant effect. Subtle touches such as the laser cut fretwork that matched the window vinyl or the faux alabaster texture within the shade made for a genuinely bespoke lighting scheme.

One standout piece of bespoke office lighting we supplied can be seen hanging above the boardroom table. The grid layout is home to hundreds of individual curls, all of which are fastened discreetly giving the impression that they are floating inside the grid — the softness of the curls juxtaposed against the sharp angular gridwork. The polished ceiling plate helps double the perceived height of the fitting.
