This particular venue is the third branch of the wine bar chain that started in York, then expanded east to Beverley and west to Harrogate.

The deluxe interior was meticulously designed by Studio Two Interiors. Their personable approach to design has allowed them to cultivate a rich atmosphere within Lucia Wine Bar & Grill, creating an enviable environment that offers a unique dining experience. Studio Two Interiors source from an exclusive market to find unique, bespoke and innovative design solutions, which is precisely how this fashionable restaurant has adopted its standout personality.

Northern Lights were thrilled to meet the task of realising Studio Two's immersive design concepts for bespoke lighting solutions, which can be found throughout the entire venue. The brief was straightforward: to pair handcrafted lighting with beautiful pastel joinery, antique brass accents and beautifully arranged florals to provide comfortable elegance for Lucia's guests. The scope of lighting required for this project was incredibly diverse, with everything from statement chandeliers to subtle banquet table lighting required to complete the restaurant's aesthetic.

The lower floor is an enticing trip down memory lane, evoking memories of beautiful cabaret suites with Art Deco influences spread throughout. Each table on the lower floor is adorned with our chic brushed brass table lamps, each complete with a spearmint fabric shade to marry with the beautiful pastel palette introduced by Studio Two. Our bartop lamps comprise a hand-blown opal ribbed globe atop a handcrafted light antique stem. The provocative floral backdrop presents a stark contrast to the classically styled lighting. Elsewhere, light antique brass wall lamps produce a subtly warming bi-directional light source. The amber-tinted glass is paired perfectly with an inner fabric shade. Additionally, sitting on the adjacent walls are our expertly crafted light antique brass twin wall lamps. The cleverly considered design combines curved stems fixed to a dark stained wood backplate and completed with conical jute fabric shades.

The decor takes on a much lighter powder-pink and mint-green hues with delicately arranged floral compositions to match throughout the main floor. The bar area is illuminated by our brushed brass and white gloss powder-coated pendants. The reflective trio of conical shades provides ample lighting to enhance the stunning colour arrangement of the bar below. Elsewhere, we pay homage to the botanical theme running throughout the venue with our flower-inspired wall sconce. The 3D-elevated laser-cut fixture comprises stacked, light antique brass plates that house a threaded glass globe.

Our statement piece is the star of the show in the private dining area on the top floor. Shrouded by a checkered coffee-caramel curtain and decorated with contemporary paintings, the well-considered banquet area is ornamented by our light antique brass chandelier with polished acrylic edges. The remarkable installation is embellished with reflective 'pill' shaped acrylic plates that each house threaded glass globes. The metre-wide fitting provides an eye-catching light source that adds to the grandeur of this private nook of the restaurant.
