Ranked No. 31 in The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025, Raffles London at The OWO represents the height of heritage luxury. As part of the meticulous restoration led by Thierry Despont’s studio, bespoke lighting played a vital role in defining the atmosphere of more than 120 guestrooms and suites across five floors.

Sample Rooms

In this three year development, we completed two full sample rooms to meet the precise elements of the brief that required precision to the millimeter - testament to our team's commitment to perfection on complex heritage projects.

Custom Finish

To unify the scheme, our finishing team developed a custom rich bronze finish, aptly named 'Old War Office Bronze', to seamlessly tie together diverse forms and styles.

Designs that Celebrate Heritage

Drawing on 35 years of British craftsmanship, our team developed eighteen bespoke lighting designs for the bedrooms & corridors.

Star pendants - working with a local artisan tasked with cornice rennovation throughout the hotel to create a custom mold, we crafted unique pendants from biscuit plaster, and finished in a white powder coat.

Bell jar corridor pendants - the unique challenge came from the age of the building - not two floors featured the same ceiling height. To solve this, we adapted different drop rod configurations and created installation and delivery breakdowns specific to each floor.

Table & floor lamps - wood & wood veneers were coated with rich finishes, including polished wenge, mahogany and deep red lacquers, with contrasting metalwork detailing.

Conical pendants - each curved steel tier houses triple lamps within and are topped with frosted acrylic diffusers to evenly disperse the light.  The steel is finished in a high gloss cream, with contrasting metalwork detailing in bespoke bronze.

From heritage suites to guest corridors, every luminaire balances craftsmanship, sustainability, and technical excellence - delivering an atmosphere that complements one of the world’s most anticipated hotel openings.
