With a plethora of world-renowned landmarks accessible within minutes, this is a choice location that offers not only convenience but a taste of classic British interior design and elegance.

The historic ornate architectural details made the hotel one of the grandest of its time. Jones Architecture & Design's concept for refurbishing the lobby allows this legacy to take centre stage. The design of the new elements, including the concierge, check-in desks, and resting spaces, fit perfectly within the original building's luxurious features.

Northern Lights were honoured to provide luxury bespoke lighting to numerous spaces of the hotel. Upon arrival, our fixtures are immediately apparent as they adorn the lobby area. Sat on the reception desks are our classically designed fixed medium antique table lamps. The hand-applied finish marries with the rich colour palette displayed throughout the foyer.

Grand, bright, and versatile, the Orient Suite is the most significant event space in the hotel, featuring traditional Victorian architecture and original stained-glass windows. Many eye-catching bespoke lighting fixtures are displayed throughout this great hall, with each one complementing the last. A set of geometric matt black and brass metal chandeliers have been spread across the ceiling of the room, each one comprising carefully soldered tubes that house threaded grey smoke glass globes. The muskier colours used in the lighting provide a stark contrast to the bright white walls on each side of the room. Sat flush to the walls are matching matt black twin wall lamps, each complete with threaded grey smoke glass globes attached to handcrafted stems.

Elsewhere, a charming, spacious wood-panelled room named The Rovos Boardroom provides a space for professional meetings. This comfortable boardroom is ideal for working lunches, business meetings or presentations, and is adorned with stylish lighting installations to create a well-lit atmosphere. Sitting about the rich walnut meeting table is our skilfully crafted matt black and brass chandelier that takes on a branch-like composition with its hand-soldered stemming arms, all complete with grey smoke glass globes. Sitting on either side of the presentation screen at the end of the table, our matt black single-arm wall lamps marry with the chandelier by utilising the same grey smoke glass globes to provide a subtly warming lighting source. Our classically designed medium antique brass floor lamps bring warmth to a single coffee table with two matching chairs in the corner of the room.

The Blue Boardroom is a private space for smaller gatherings. A classic wood-panelled decoration has been applied to allow contrast to some of the brighter rooms. Staying in line with the chandeliers found in other boardrooms, our mild steel and brass multi-arm chandelier once again takes on a branch-like composition. It stretches for two and a half metres to provide adequate lighting to the entire meeting table below. Elsewhere, two of our medium antique brass and matt black adjustable wall lamps sit on either side of a walnut and blackened steel shelving unit, with both features complementing each other perfectly.
