Award-winning design agency DesignLSM has spearheaded the project, undertaking a strategic and creative position, evolving the Warner Leisure Hotel property, with a predominant focus on three key principles – relaxation, exploration and entertainment – to enhance the overall guest experience.
The refurbishment has bridged the gap between the Grade II listed 18th-century charming manor house and the contemporary extension, creating an engaging aesthetic that runs through the whole estate.
"This has been a tremendous project for DesignLSM. We have worked closely with Warner Leisure Hotels from the very beginning – offering our strategic expertise to curate the proposition, creating and defining several new F&B concepts as well as designing a new narrative and an immersive interior design across all of the front-of-house rooms in this grand estate – influenced by, and respecting its historical roots, whilst bringing it forward into a new era of enjoyment and adventure", said Holly Hallam, Managing Director of DesignLSM.
The team at Northern Lights were elated to discover that the company had been specified to contribute bespoke lighting fixtures to Heythrop Park Hotel. Our ever-growing portfolio of luxury hotels includes several Grade II listed properties, but nothing on such an enormous scale. Our lighting spans The Orangery, Market Kitchen, Brassey Bar and the theatre.
In the Market Kitchen, our range of satin steel feature pendants bring beautiful pools of light to those dining within the restaurant. There are 8-light and 12-light iterations of the pendants that span the entire length and breadth of the restaurant, each complete with handcrafted ivory cotton conical shades.
Past the Market Kitchen is The Orangery, a beautifully-considered tearoom for guests to socialise and take in some of the stunning views surrounding the venue. Stunning pastel furniture and elegantly tiled floors are brightened by a series of our feature ring pendants that span the room's length. The gold satin fixtures comprise a handcrafted outer ring that houses an integrated LED strip and a central dish that discreetly hides a single uplight.
The Brassey Bar, named after the original owner Thomas Brassey, is a contemporary take on a bar with rustic walnut furniture, sumptuous booth seating and complementary tiling. Our immersive gantry bar is the star of the show in this part of the venue. Fixed satin gold & matt opal lamps sit atop an impressive 2.5 metre-wide handcrafted gantry created by our skilled artisans in Derbyshire. The booth seating is delicately illuminated by several matching lamps that complement the gantry bar opposite. The fixtures provide a delicate glow to guests using soft glass diffusion.
The theatre's renovation is one of the most awe-inspiring feats of the entire refurbishment. Taking a contrasting approach to the classic aesthetic of the wider hotel, the Warwick Wing Theatre adds a striking contemporary touch of glamour and decadence to the hotel's evening offering, with live music and cinematic performances on stage for the guest's entertainment.
The atmospheric space is brought to life with dazzling arched lights that emit a warm glow throughout the room, whilst the enormous main theatre pendant brings the entire room together. The immersive 4.4 metre-wide fixture comprises over one hundred individual bulbs housed on eighteen arms. Our satin gold oval pendant rounds off the range of bespoke lighting in the theatre. At an impressive 4.4 metres in height, the pendant complements the other fixtures using thirty individual bulbs to bring a sparkle of showbiz to its surroundings.
