The sleek contours, smooth finishes and rounded edges favoured by the designers Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel evoke memories of the golden age of nautical travel.
Northern Lights were thrilled to realise the brief set by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, which was to achieve a level of opulence through quality bespoke lighting that would complement the luxurious design of the entire hotel. Sette restaurant is the first London location of New York City's Scarpetta Restaurants, bringing authentic Italian food from the heart of Manhattan with its inimitable flair. Sette has been designed by the esteemed Thomas Juul-Hansen, who is also credited with designing the flagship Scarpetta NYC location in the trendy NoMad neighbourhood in Manhattan.
Sette Restaurant's ceiling is adorned with our bespoke curved pendant fixtures. The handcrafted appliances comprise an expertly manufactured powder-coated black steel frame with a contrasting light linen fabric shade wrapped around to diffuse the light emitted from within. The fixtures are fitted with hinged panels to allow access to the lamps, whilst the panel's seams act as a method of ventilation to prevent overheating. Complementing the statement fixtures are a series of smaller wall sconces that comprise powder-coated black steel wall plates and matte opal acrylic tubes.
In true 'Dolce Vita' style, the evenings continue after dinner downstairs in the 'underground' bar Nolita Social - which like Sette, is independently operated by LDV Hospitality. Named after New York's most charming neighbourhood, North of Little Italy, Nolita Social brings the energy of 'the New York night' to London. The eclectic interior of this fabulous hideaway is complemented perfectly by our brushed brass bar-top table lamps. The rolled brass cone shades create a perfect glow that brings a lot of light to the bar area.
