Lighting can shape an interior, create drama and generate much of the atmosphere of any venue. Good lighting is usually one of the most inspirational parts of a scheme and it is not always the most imposing fittings which have the most effect - that usually depends on touch, subtlety and a design approach which captures the spirit of the space.
From a luxury hotel in Florence or a boutique hotel on the Scottish borders to a beautiful Cotswolds pub or Central London restaurant, please take a look at our recent projects and be inspired!
Interior design: Rocco Forte / JSJ Design
Fitting supplied: fabric pendant feature and fabric curved wall lights
Hotel Savoy from Rocco Forte is one of the finest of all Florence hotels, located in the heart of this beautiful, historic city. The hotel has recently refurbished the complete ground floor restaurant and bar. Working with JSJ Design, we supplied a fabric pendant ceiling feature and matching wall lights to the hotel's Tuscan bistro – Irene, whose menu was created by the legendary Fulvio Pierangelini.
Comprising simple cylinder shades in yellow, grey, green and black suspended at different heights from a rectangular steel frame, the fabric pendant feature provides a fresh and sleek backdrop to the simple and authentic Tuscan classics offered by the restaurant. Illuminated by eco-filament lamps, the pendants give a warm and comforting glow with an equally attractive very low energy consumption.
Interior design: Unwin Jones Partnership
Fittings supplied: multi globe chandelier
The chandelier is installed in the grand reception hall at the Greens at Gretna, a premium wedding and conference venue in Dumfries, just cross the border. The dramatic yet elegant fitting opened the doors to a magical and romantic world, adding a contemporary twist to a place already steeped in history and classic charm.
3 metres in diameter with the longest suspension at 2.5 metres, the chandelier features 53 globes in four different finishes – clear, tinted grey, crackled and chrome plated. Each globe measures from 100mm to 250mm in diameter. The main illumination is provided by GU10 downlights on the ceiling plate.
Interior design: Brakspear Pubs
Fittings supplied: The complete decorative lighting scheme
Tucked away in the back streets of the beautiful Oxfordshire town Watlington, the Chequers is the sort of place in which you would feel relaxed the moment you walk through the doors – a perfect place to enjoy the best of great British food and the beautiful countryside. The pub has an extensive menu, a wide selection of drinks and very characterful décor.
Continuing our work with Brakspear Pubs, we supplied the complete decorative lighting scheme. From a table lamp using old books as lamp base and wall lights featuring wicker shades to ceiling lights with mesh shades and clear glass chandeliers, the eclectic selection of fittings helps create a warm and friendly ambience that brings travellers and local people back time and time again.

KuPP is a new and innovative casual all day food & drink concept with a distinct Scandi twist. Located in Paddington Central London, the site is a large light space being surrounded by floor to ceiling windows on three sides. Careful consideration was given to the lighting solution to take advantage of the natural light and highlight the different function zones throughout the venue.
