Established in 1989, Café Rouge is one of the oldest French bistro restaurant chains on the UK high street. The chain started a re-branding process in 2012 to make it more appealing to the younger generation in today's highly competitive casual dining market. They not only introduced a new menu, but also revamped the interiors.
The new scheme was developed by the London-based brand consultancy AfroditiKrassa. It was inspired by the urban Parisian bistros but managed to preserve the essence of the original Café Rouge. Each site is unique with its own particular features.
Working from the designer’s brief, Northern Lights developed a range of bespoke fittings from chandeliers to table lamps to complement the new interiors. They also organised the purchasing and delivery of light fittings from other suppliers. This ensured that all the fittings were delivered to site on time.
