Sopwell House

Following their design for the Sopwell House Mews Suites, the creative team at Sparcstudio was enlisted for this new project to create a new room category marketed as the 'Chic'. The team has incorporated bespoke furniture inspired by the natural themes and palettes that Sparcstudio developed for the Cottonmill Spa at Sopwell House. It features stunning panelling and lighting, all designed with comfort in mind.
 
The brief set for Northern Lights was to create bespoke lighting with a contemporary aesthetic that was both welcoming and restoring. The soft palette features a bright, fresh feel with a lighting scheme designed to ensure that the rooms are still cosy on a winter's night, enhanced by warm brasses and rich alabaster.
 
Sitting atop the bespoke bedside tables are our Tibor table lamps, a unique piece from our Signature Collection. Our Tibor table lamp is exquisitely handcrafted from old English brass and oiled bronze for an intense patina that contrasts with its elegant white alabaster shade. Subtle details such as the reeded stem and knurled finial are the finishing touches that help complement the rich veining found throughout the alabaster stone.
 
Elsewhere on the dressing table, our bespoke light brass and faux alabaster desk lamps bring vivid illumination to a key area of the bedroom. Comprising a base of sumptuous grey marble, hand-finished light brass metalwork and a detailed translucent faux alabaster shade, this contemporary desk lamp has been positioned to maximise the glow in the proximity of the bespoke arched mirror.
 
Our luxurious brass & marble floor lamp completes the lighting in the bedrooms. This considered design benefits from light and medium brass finishes that accentuate detail and
texture within the fitting. The largest portion of the stem has been handcrafted with an extruded reeded brass stem capped with turned brass bosses. The base has been carefully curated using decadent grey marble, and the fixture is complete with a hand-pleated dove grey linen shade.
