The Mayfair Townhouse
Bedside Ophelia wall lights and main feature lighting in The Dandy Bar.
Located on Half Moon Street, alongside Piccadilly, The Mayfair Townhouse debuted in September 2020 with 172 rooms & suites, The Dandy Bar, private gym and versatile event spaces.
On the northern fringe of Buckingham Palace-adjacent Green Park in London's most expensive neighbourhood, this brand-new hotel isn't just one townhouse; it's 15 of them.
Mayfair is synonymous with status, heritage and prestige and up until the mid-18th century was mostly rural, famous for its annual May Fair. The townhouses lining Half Moon Street formed the setting for Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest. Almost all of the design language, which comes courtesy of London-based design firm Goddard Littlefair, is decidedly British, which is no surprise considering that The Mayfair Townhouse is the sixth property in Iconic Luxury Hotels' dazzling portfolio.
Northern Lights continued their collaboration with Goddard Littlefair ensuring their lighting designs were realised as intended, enhancing the spaces they occupied and creating a focal point and inviting ambience.
Presented on the suite's bedside walls are a duo of our delicately handcrafted Ophelia wall lights. With an antique brass finish and an ivory alabaster diffuser, they give the Deco-inspired fixtures an elegant form that perfectly complements their surroundings. Designed with versatility and comfort in mind, the handcrafted wall sconces blend a classic shape with a modern touch and natural materials to create a genuinely versatile bespoke design.
The Dandy Bar has all of the ingredients to become an iconic destination bar. With a cocktail menu that amplifies the hotel's brand, the area full of guests and locals will very much be an extension of the design itself. Centre stage is the overhead fixture in the revered Dandy Bar. Comprised of etched glass, the skilfully handcrafted bespoke lighting design takes inspiration from the form of feathers, akin to flapper outfits made popular in the 1920s. The aesthetic provided by the eye-catching design creates the desired effects that The Mayfair Townhouse required from the brief resulting in a bar space and area where it is a joy to imbibe.
