Northern Lights specialise in hospitality lighting, so it was easy for us to work with both Tibbatts Abel and Edge Architects to develop a wide range of bespoke hospitality lighting solutions throughout the hotel. A combination of massive bespoke light features, elegant custom table and floor lamps, as well as robust task lighting, add to what is already a stunning interior design scheme.

A stunning bespoke chandelier welcomes guests to the hotel, greeting them with a gentle twinkle from the moment they arrive. The seemingly never-ending drop features more than 500 delicate laser-cut metal flowers complemented by individual crystal details.
The fourth floor is home to the reception, business centre and restaurant. It’s here that the lighting is used to break up each zone and define the different functional areas. The three-ring crystal bespoke chandelier is the first piece that guests will connect with, as they wait to check-in, the optically clear crystal shines from the discrete LED. This bespoke chandelier gives way to a seamlessly endless stretch of over six thousand decorative rods. Each one individually hung and lit from above.
On the top floor is the Rofuto Restaurant, a modern Japanese Izakaya-style dining concept. Its highlight is a group of more than sixty bespoke tube pendants accentuating the stunning views across Birmingham City Centre. The minimalist style reflects the sleek and straightforward Japanese aesthetic with metal caps hand-finished to match the other bespoke furniture. These impressive features can be seen from the ground floor at night and act as a magnet to visitors to the city.
A large cluster of wooden bespoke ring pendants is wrapped in kilometres of dyed rope, which adds texture and warmth against the textured concrete effect ceiling.
In addition to the bespoke chandeliers, we also supplied an extensive range of complementary custom pendants, table and floor lamps to the area.
