The pub, which has 14 bedrooms, is located in a Grade II listed building parts of which date back to the year 948. Visitors can still find a witch's mark on the fireplace – this was meant to ward off evil.

Working together with Stephanie Dennett, Design Manager at Brakspear, Northern Lights developed a range of fittings to complement many of the original features of the building as well as injecting subtle contemporary elements.

From central chandeliers made from antlers to elegant table lamps using recycled glass bottles, to traditional lanterns and spotlights in antique brass with brown braided flex, they all work together to create an interior that not only takes the customer back in time but which is modern and comfortable.
