With a brief to keep the influences and importance of locally sourced meat of outstanding provenance, Shelley Reiner Managing Director of Suited ID, incorporated several meat themes within her scheme.
We were delighted to help her realise her vision and create these stunning feature pendants and wall lights.
Large pendants with the industrial appearance of frames for meat carcases to be hung from were softened with clear globes covered with a wire mesh and hung with a meat hook detail. A blackened steel finish to the ironwork was offset by a tarnished antique brass effect to the detailing of the globes. This was complemented by the “fields” of fringing greenery to the side of the banquettes and coffers and skylights framed and filled with ferns and other architecturally stunning foliage. Bare bricks and white tiles were a perfect canvas for the striking wall lights that were designed to complement the feature pendants.
Recessed into a frame and set on wooden panelling chosen to match the wood detailing highlighted in the restaurant, the hand-blown glass globes were suspended from an industrial blackened steel frame and meat hook detail – a recurring theme of the restaurant. Softened with antique brass finish and fine wire to the globes, they perfectly harmonise with the earth tones within the restaurant and along with the feature pendant create a warm and welcoming ambience to this highly rated restaurant.
The restaurant is slick and modern but also perfectly at home in the country house environment, with bare bricks, white tiles and an open kitchen, offset by banquettes fringed with greenery, bare filament lights and fern-filled skylights.
