Interior designers Goddard Littlefair were tasked with creating a 5 Star hotel room for the Lowry Hotel in Manchester. Blurring the lines between hotel suite and luxury apartment, the interconnected spaces of the Presidential Suite transition seamlessly. With multiple bedrooms, a mini grand piano and a dining area designed to seat 8 people, this is a space built for entertaining.
The lighting theme, like the rest of the interior design, is inspired by the industrial forms and heritage of Manchester. The furnishings use a limited colour palette, based on the 5 colours used by L.S Lowry. These colour accents are visible in the main bedroom, where Northern Lights supplied amber glass table lights, which capture light from the floor to ceiling windows.
Other features include the globe bedside lights, in a paler amber hue and a dramatic floor light with exposed supports, reminiscent of the Trinity Bridge visible from the bedroom window.
