Working again with successful commercial and hospitality designers, Tibbatts Abel, we were pleased to supply all the decorative light installations and fittings for the new Opheem restaurant in Birmingham by the award-winning Chef Aktar Islam.
Taking influences from centuries of Royal Court Chefs, Aktar Islam is pushing the boundaries of imaginative and progressive Indian recipes combining the best seasonal ingredients from the British Isles.
Tibbatts Abel were briefed with creating a space that matched this culinary brilliance and we were honoured to help them realise their innovative and unique designs inspired by Aktar’s incredible food.
There are several feature pendants following the same cloud theme of intricate brushed brass laser cut shapes interspersed with matt opal spheres creating a complex ceiling screen that both holds the attention and creates a relaxing ambience.
The brushed brass and matt opal glass perfectly complement the rich timber tones and raw textured concrete walls and ceilings in Tibbatts Abel’s stunning scheme.
Finally, single mesh pendants in black and brass were used to highlight bar areas and the kitchen pass and the entrance area was completed by a large polished brass circular pendant with a soft opal diffuser to create an inviting welcome to the restaurant.
