Established in 1989 and loved by Bridget Jones in the 1990s, Café Rouge is one of the most recognisable French bistro chains in the UK. Since 2014 the brand has been undergoing a re-branding process with new décor and new menus. The Design Consultancy Keane Brands worked closely with the Group to develop the new interior which injects more glamour and romance into the restaurants, whilst remaining loyal to the classic French charm which has always been the brand’s trademark. The interior designer appointed Northern Lights to be the major decorative lighting supplier for the refurbishment programme. Time scales are tight on the projects so much preparation is necessary.
From the elegant chandeliers with scalloped shades to the wall lights using motorbike helmets, we supplied a diverse range of fittings to meet the eclectic requirements of the interior designers. We also modified both decorative and architectural fittings from other lighting suppliers to suit the scheme.
For a complex roll-out programme such as this, a one-stop shop approach removed any concerns regarding technical and supply chain issues, meaning the designers could focus on the creative side of the project.
