Feature circular chandeliers and mesh table lamps

Set in a Grade Two listed room, the 1901 Restaurant and Wine Lounge at the Andaz Hotel in Liverpool Street combines the grandeur of traditional London with the sophistication of contemporary furnishing and details.

Ara Design has created an interior that is grand yet inviting and personal. The original features such as stained glass domes and mosaic floor tiles have been skilfully restored and enhanced, whilst the floating central bar and plush seating add distinctive glamour and comfort.

Working from the designer’s brief, we developed two large chandeliers for both the bar and private dining areas. Measuring more than 2m diameter and with a 3m drop, the sweeping chandeliers complement the ornamental vaulted ceiling. The rustic burnished bronze finish contrasts sharply with the lacquered glass bar top and the velvet seating, itself an elegant mixture of grey, blue and mustard yellow.

The exposed LED lamps offer a gentle illumination, adding an extra layer to the carefully planned lighting scheme which is central to create the luxurious, lively yet ultimately relaxing atmosphere.

We have also supplied the integrated table lamps with mesh shade for the central island.
